I got to go to the VIP Sneak Peek of the Byrdie Beauty Lab Pop-Up in Los Angeles for journalists, press, and influencers. I am a huge fan of Byrdie and also love connecting with other beauty-obsessed individuals. Non-press events at the lab have included classes led by industry leaders, including the founder of one of my favorite luxury skincare brands, Sunday Riley; we had drinks, snacks, and lots of products to test. I have finally had time to sample the swag I received and am ready to report back.
The cult beauty experts obviously have great taste in products, including a number of stand-out faves I have written about on Brit + Co.! Like I said, a few of them, I already knew well and loved. There were a few I had heard of but never gotten a chance to try, and others took me completely by surprise — such as Sun Bum's tinted lippie, which I will totally re-stock when I run out.
Shop my top 10 picks below!
Sunday Riley Good Genes ($105)
This treatment exfoliates, brightens, and plumps the skin using lactic and hyaluronic acids — making a visible difference right away. It has a cult-following for a reason!
Hampton Sun Hydrating Aloe ($28)
This cooling aloe spray is genius for summer. Aloe is like 15x more hydrating than water, making it great to apply post sun-bathing.
Sunday Riley C.E.O. ($85)
This is my all time favorite glow-getting vitamin C serum. It's the holy grail for me.
Sun Bum Tinted Lip Moisturizer and SPF - Nude Beach ($10)
I will definitely buy this hydrating lippie in the perfect neutral tint again.
Leonor Greyl L'Huile de Leonor Greyl ($59)
I have one sample of their pre-shampoo treatment hair oil and have been dying to try the line forever.
Glosse Moderne Clean Luxury Masque ($65)
I was excited to see this high end, natural, vegan haircare line there. I recently featured it on B+C.
R+Co High Dive Moisture + Shine Creme ($29)
I am game to try anything that will hydrate my dry hair. This product is also fab for frizz-fighting.
Pureology Style + Protect Wind-Tossed Texture Finishing Spray ($9)
This is a vegan finishing/texturizing wave spray that is perfect for hacking lived-in, French-girl hair.
Nexxus Keraphix Conditioner for Damaged Hair ($24, orig. $29)
I noticed an immediate (post-shower) improvement in my hair's texture and level of hydration.
Sun Potion Organic Mucune Pruriens Dopamine Bean ($33)
I love that Byrdie focuses on wellness and adaptogens. One dose of this put me to sleep for hours.
Note: I also sampled Burt's Bees Nourishing Mascara but due to some questions regarding their cruelty-free status, didn’t include it. It IS cruelty-free. FEWF!
