Product Review: Persona Cali Glow Highlighter

I received a few products from Persona Cosmetics, including their California-inspired line of highlighters. I live in California and was hooked — even featuring their Persona Cosmetics Cali Glow Highlighter in Laguna ($24) in this post on subtle glitter makeup on Brit + Co. The line also includes two other bronzier shades, as well — Zuma and Del Mar. I personally think that Zuma is the perfect shade of shimmery bronze.
For years I have sworn by Laura Mercier Illuminating Powder in Mocha Spice Quad ($40). So many years that its gone through multiple name changes and I'm pretty sure the original shade I used doesn't even exist anymore. When I needed a little extra bronziness, applied under the cheekbones for subtle contouring, I used Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer ($29). Sadly, Benefit is not cruelty-free, so I am ready to replace it — never to repurchase again.
Another bronzer that I am seriously OBSESSED with is this clean, mommy-safe tint by the luxury green skincare brand, Amareta. It is the perfect buildable pigment that is my absolute favorite for accentuating just beneath the cheekbones. I highly, highly recommend it! The shade I have is called "Twinkle.” Here is the link if you'd like to try: Amareta Beauty All Over Color Natural Flush Glow ($25). P.S. It reminds me of the Potter’s Clay color trend in Fashion.
In addition to being non-toxic, it contains healthy skin ingredients like fatty acid-rich Sunflower Seed Oil, Shea butter, and Mica, for natural, mineral hue. These health-promoting ingredients mean that unlike your average store-bought bronzer — whose harsh ingredients can actually age the skin — Amareta’s pick actively does the opposite by providing antioxidant and other anti-aging nutrients for the skin. It has become a regular in my beauty regimen.
